Post-irritable bowel, colitis, after antibiotics. What is this?
Hi. I am going to the doctor soon, but just wanted some opinions if anyone out there has gone through this. I took clyndamycin for a week. A couple weeks after, I was having shooting pain and cramps in my stomach and a lot of trips to the bathroom, not quite diarrhea, just very soft stools. The last couple of weeks, I thought I was better just one trip to the bathroom daily, still soft stools, but not diarrhea. Today and the last couple of days, I've gone two times to the bathroom per day, and beforehand I get the sharp pains and cramps again and throughout the day, very soft stools but one time today was diarrhea. Did I get colitis from the pills or is this post IBS or...anyone gone through this? Just anxious for some opinions before I go to the docs. Thanks.
