Ulcerative colitis surgery - has anyone had surgery to remove the bowel?
If anyone has had surgery to remove their bowel, could you please tell me how it has affected your life? Is your quality of life better after having the surgery, and were there any side effects? I have had UC for two years and no medications are working. I am not employed at the moment because I'm so sick all of the time, I am seriously considering having the surgery so I can lead a normal life like everyone else. Stiches from colitis surgery won't heal. Some of them will get little scabbing on them and then get raw again.?
