What is the difference between colitis disease and colon disease? Which organs do they deal with?
Internal bleeding and ulcerative colitis HELP?
My best friend was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in February last year. It has recently been said that it may have been a false diagnosis. the doctors are also thinking he has internal bleeding. Is there any medication that he could have taken that would cause internal bleeding if he does not have ulcerative colitis? What else could have caused the bleeding and what steps will be taken to stop the bleeding?
Lymphocytic colitis flare up, what shoud I do?
Hey Everyone Last year I was diagnosed with lymphocytic colitis. If your not familiar with it, its basically the same as Ulcerative colitis except I don't have any blood in my diarrhea.Anyhow,Last week I started a " Flare up" when I have my flare ups I usually go to the washroom with diarrhea about 8 13 times a day. Anything I eat, comes out fast.I've lost about 10lbs since the flare up started Which isn't that bad since I could use to loose 30lbs LOL I called the doctors office and the soonest they could get me in is Dec 3 Which is almost a month away Does anyone have any advice tips they could give me to help me get through this? When should I be worried if I'm " Going to the washroom" to much. I've stayed home from work all week due to the fact when I gotta go I GOTTA GO Sad thing is I'm only 25.... Im so afraid it will get worse to.I'm finding it hard to keep fluids in, despite me drinking alot.Thanks everyone

Will my colitis get better without medicine?
Doctors say I have inflammation of colon colitis based on a CT scan I had done. They don't think it's from an infection but gave me antibiotics, Cipro and Flagyl. Is this enough medication to cure me? They are pushing Lialda or Asacol. I am wary of these medications and don't want to take. Will my colitis get better without medicine?I'm having a colonscopy done in 3 weeks, but dr wants to see how I do on the Lialda first.
What kind of colitis do I have? Is it forever?
I think I have colitis. I don't know what type I have. No blood, no fever, no fatigue, just loose stools, cramps, I have had diarrhea 2 times so far, the rest of the time they are just very soft and loose. This usually happens after I eat. I think there are different types of colitis, some worse than others, but it confuses me. Anyone know? Also what can and can't I eat? And will I have to avoid those certain foods forever? And will all of this be forever? Have people had it go away completely? Help
I have ulcerative colitis and just never seem to stop the bleeding?
If you have ulcerative colitis I would love to hear your thoughts. I have had this for about 3years now and was just diagnosed a year ago. Im. Only 29 and am having a hard time with managing this disease. The doctors just want me to take a ton of steroids that make my face look fat. I don't have any other symptoms very often but the bleeding, and usually light but sometimes heavy., and just it won't stop. I have tried eating different things and ended up sick back in March for like a month and in the hospital for about a week. I would just like some advice. Some say eat light for awhile but how long and how light.? Last time I tried I lost my appetite altogether after trying that and then couldn't eat. It was horrible. Sorry about any typos I'm not going to worry about rereading this. Thanks in advance
Does anyone know anything about colitis stress?
Well a couple of days before my boyfriend had to go into surgery he told me something about Colitis stress... It was my first time hearing about it... He said stress makes it worst..But he told me he had alot of gas and well the day on his surgery he said the stomach pain had got worse.. So the doctor decided to keep him and do the surgery.. I didn't hear from him at all yesterday.. I'm worried.. What happens after the surgery? How long will he be in the hospital? Not knowing is stressing me out Anyone know anything?
Post-irritable bowel, colitis, after antibiotics. What is this?
Hi. I am going to the doctor soon, but just wanted some opinions if anyone out there has gone through this. I took clyndamycin for a week. A couple weeks after, I was having shooting pain and cramps in my stomach and a lot of trips to the bathroom, not quite diarrhea, just very soft stools. The last couple of weeks, I thought I was better just one trip to the bathroom daily, still soft stools, but not diarrhea. Today and the last couple of days, I've gone two times to the bathroom per day, and beforehand I get the sharp pains and cramps again and throughout the day, very soft stools but one time today was diarrhea. Did I get colitis from the pills or is this post IBS or...anyone gone through this? Just anxious for some opinions before I go to the docs. Thanks.

I would like to be a phlebotomist but my mom says they wont let me because of my immune system. I have ulcerative colitis but I don't think my immune system is really that bad. So my question is will I get hired as a phlebotomist even with my health conditions?

i took about 15 of them.Amoxicillin 500mg.. i have ulcertive coltis and its starting to hurt the past 2 weeks on the bottle of antibiotics i said be careful if having ulcertive colitis but i needed it badly for my wisdom teeth which i did ot take the full amount anyway but its been a month, and now its effecting me.. any advice pleasePLEASE?
