Long story, somewhat short. My husband started out with C diff. It had went untreated for quite sometime, then he was told he had UC, then it was Chrone's. He was on Remicade, imuran all different kinds of meds. Anyways, he just recently had surgery and the labs couldn't tell if it was Chrone's or UC. Just an undetermined type of Ibd. Hmmmm. So, I think it was just the C diff that had gotten so bad, thats why they couldn't tell. The dr said he had never seen anything like it before. I thought it was very odd. So, I have been searching the net for anyone else who has ever heard of anything like this. He is doing much better now, Thank God Any insight would be appreciated.I do have the report and they have reviewed it. His large intestine was so " beat up" if you will that they couldn't determine anything.

Hi I'm 16 years old and I have had ulcerative colitis for 2 years and I have tried every medicin from salofalk asacol prednisone and remicade, and now my doctor says surgery is the only option left. But I want to try serovera and other treatment before I do surgery. I want to know if there is another way I can manage my colitis without surgery because im terrified at the thought of surgery and ileostomy because im only 16 I want to know how I will feel like after surgery will I notice my colon and rectum gone will I be leaking inside? How much pain will I be in and will I be able to sit down on a chair or not please give me a lot of information on this surgery I'm so nervous scared and worried about it thank you so much
Good pain medicine for ulcerative colitis?
i recently got sent home from 5 days in the hospital from ulcerative colitis just found out i had it anyways the dr sent me home with antibiotics and some other stuff for spasms and bentzly and 100 tablets DEMEROL 50mg the demerol DOSE NOT work it just makes me light headed and still in pain , im going to my family dr today to ask him if he can write me something different , my friend who also has UC ulcerative colitis says oxycodone works wonders . Should i just ask my dr for this or suggest something else? I know the final decision is his but this pain is to the point where i just hit my knees PLEASE HELP
Do I have ulcerative colitis?
I'm 15 and last week, during my period, my stomach was hurting REALLY bad.. way worse than usual. Everyday mostly at night I would get waves of nausea and feel like I was going to be sick. I also would have diarrhea several times a day and bad gas. I finished my period a few days ago but I'm still getting stomach pain and diarrhea. Also, when I go, my poop is blue..... The only think I can think of eating is blueberries but I only had like five. Plus, that was several days ago and my poop is still blue. Lastly, when I go, a mucus type substance comes out too. Please help. I'm getting worrieddd

i have had ulcerative colitis for 2years now and i have not been sick for 1month now. i have recently been getting really ban stomach cramps and diarrhea but no blood. I put my steroids up to 15mg and no difference. is this the colitis coming back or something else?Please help
Ulcerative Colitis and Cancer questions?
I'm 15, female and I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis at 13 but I had the symptoms a year beforehand. I have tried various treatments such as steroids prednisolone azathioprine and methotrexate. None of which have worked. I have pancolitis and it is very severe. I've seen the pictures from the colonoscopy and it is ridiculously inflamed and bleeding ulcers everywhere. I feel so ill all the time, I'm in pain alot and it feels like all my energy is being drained from the smallest things I do. I don't want to sound negative, but I can't see this getting better and I'm an extremely positive person. I'm not stupid I know what the complications are and I know I should have a colostomy soon but i feel I'm too young to deal with that. I need to know what the chances are of this turning cancerous and how long it will be until that stage if my UC isn't treated or under control? Thanks for any advice you can give me.
