i have ulcerative colitis. its not a fun disease, and i go to my G.I. doctor every 3 months. my last appointment was in late november, and another one is coming up in February. he always asks me about how im feeling pain wise, and how is my stool. ive noticed now that it has been whitish and loose, in the beginning, and okay in the end. ive had a really bad cold, and coughing up mucas. could all it be is the mucas? it has been happening for a while, and since i have a appointment coming up, should i call him now, or just wait till then? please help me. i have too many problems to be hospitalized again please help

Not Treatin Ulcertive Colitis?
Ok well. About 3 months ago, I was sent into the emergency room for blood in my stool. And the colonoscopy was very unclear but the doctor said it was either ulcertive colitis, or an infection. So he put me on meds for about 30 days and i was to come back and figure out what it was. Nothing changed except the blood went away so he said it was an infection. Well, I go to the bathroom about 4 times a day, and have had diareea for 3 months. I have decided not to go into the hospital because if I do, the army wont take me and its been my dream to serve. I ship out in september. So I just have to hold out a little bit longer. My question is, anyone with medical experience or know someone who didnt treat it and what the possible side affects of not treating it are?Other than the diarehea and blood once a day, I feel fine so far.
